Bet you will never guess how I officially 'came out' as a Writer (note the capital 'W'!)? I went to a Tarot reading for a general reading - nothing to do with pen to paper, of course; purely life stuff - but she asked a strange question. Was I researching or editing a book? This came after sniffling my way through a quarter box of tissues.
Oh, the editing. That was Kangaroo Land ... my biggest secret at the time.
She told me to finish it, that a publisher would go "Wow!"
Wouldn't that be fab, I thought at the time.
OK, might happen. Might not. But bugger me, I was going to try.
And damn it, I came out as a writer!
